| We are a four-wheel drive club that enjoys having fun. In fact, that’s how we got started, we were just a group of people having fun with our four wheel drive vehicles in the early 1970’s and decided to form a club. We called ourselves the Sand Fleas because Sand Lake, Oregon was our favorite spot to play. We have expanded our horizons since then and go four wheeling in the dirt, mud, snow, high desert, and of course, SAND! Our club promotes good, clean, family fun. We believe in the “Tread Lightly” campaign of not destroying an area that we play in. We also believe in “Pack it in, Pack it out!” And we even try and take out a little more garbage than we pack in. The Sand Fleas joined the Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Association in 1974. Our members participate in trail runs, racing, beach and forest cleanups, float towing, food drives and many other civic events. The club currently sponsors an event at Sand Lake called the Sand Flea
Rally held the last weekend in April. The proceeds of our rally are used
to help the community and promote safe OHV recreation. Please check out
the Rally link if you’d like more information. |
